Future Collective are excited to be travelling to India in late January to reconnect with our friends in the remote tribal Maharashtrian village of Pal. It’s not too late to jump on board, expressions of interest close Dec 20th. We’re a small group of around 8-10 people and we’d love to have you join us for 10 days on this unforgettable journey. Thanks everyone for your warm and supportive response to our first newsletter, it’s been a huge journey to get to where we are and we’re excited to welcome you to be part of our Future Collective community.

We’ll be reaching out over the coming months to some of the amazing people we have in our orbit that are doing great work in each of their worlds. We’re forming a group of Future Collective associates that we can work alongside to realise our vision. Timor Leste, 2025

We’re putting together a project plan to head to Timor in September 2025, working with Plastics Pirate on soft plastic pyrolysis, and timing our travel to coincide with Permatil’s Permayouth conference which hopes to have around 1000 young Timorese working on water seeding and permaculture projects. We’re working with Meri-bek council’s Friends of Aileu supporting Permatil for the event. Let us know if you’re keen to be involved!

China 2025 with SCU

Future Collective are eagerly anticipating the outcome of the New Colombo Plan announcements for our China trip submission co-designed with Southern Cross University. This program will explore the impact of Australian organisations in China, operating in the sustainable agriculture, water management and emerging engineering technologies sectors within a changing climate.

The Big Tree

Future Collective are supporting the establishment of a land-share cooperative community in country Victoria called The Big Tree. The community has been in formation since the pandemic lockdowns and is about to welcome the first round of public members. This opportunity will be available until the end of summer.
